Our Top 5 Indiana Cold Cases: No. 4

This is one of the Indianapolis area’s most recent unsolved cases and also one of its most heartbreaking.

Young Amiah Robertson has been missing since mid-March, 2019. This one hit close to home both geographically and emotionally because had just brought our own newborn home from the hospital.

Few details are confirmed, and IMPD, Indiana State Police, and the FBI are still looking for answers, but here is what we know.

A statewide Silver Alert was issued on March 19 in an initial effort to locate the young girl, but authorities would later find out she was actually last seen by her mother on March 9th, with the mother’s boyfriend.

Amiah’s mother told authorities and local news that her boyfriend was supposed to take the child to her babysitter that day, but the child never arrived to the babysitter’s home. The mother’s boyfriend was later arrested on an unrelated charge and released. Multiple searches have been performed for Amiah on Indianapolis’s west side, and the whereabouts of her mother’s boyfriend are currently vague.

IMPD, during a press conference in late March, issued a statement that they are now conducting a homicide investigation, though no evidence of a homicide or body has been found.

Unfortunately, other media stories have already started to monopolize even local news, but we’d love to keep this one as in front of the public as possible until justice is had for little Amiah.

Please like, share, and help us spread the word so this doesn’t become another Indiana cold case and those responsible don’t have the chance to hurt another child. #justice
